Strange apathy over ragwort
It's good to see Kevin Myers back in his familiar role of Canute and thundering at the inevitability of the ragwort tide (Irish Independent, July 29).
With the exception of Mr Myers and myself, is there anyone in this dysfunctional country who will rid us of this pestilential plant?
It was so different back in the 1940s, when the menace was recognised as a serious hazard to our cattle trade.
