Stop pandering to the Israelis

For years, several thousand Irish citizens living in South Africa were deprived of proper consular services because the Irish Government disapproved of the policy of apartheid.
The South African government of the time was friendly towards Ireland and was one of the few members of the British Commonwealth that supported our right to leave that body when a Republic was declared.
Recently, Irish passports have been misused by Israeli agents; Irish citizens assaulted on board a ship in international waters in an act of piracy by Israeli forces -- and yet the Government is adopting a mealy-mouthed attitude to such provocation.
