• Re your article by Michael Brennan of November 8. Brat, buffoon, chancer, communist, corner boy, coward, fascist, guttersnipe, hypocrite, rat, scumbag, scurrilous and yahoo. What a list of words that our TDs are barred from calling each other in the Dail.
And rightly so, as it is our parliament. However, for the most part they individually could apply, as appropriate, most of these words to themselves.
It would also be an extra descriptive aid to their CVs to further prefix each of these names with adjectives such as self-centred, useless and parasitical, avaricious and, in some cases, legalised crooks.
