Squeezing the man in the middle

Middle-income families are carrying the country. They are coerced into paying potentially higher income tax, childcare, health care and college fees and are not entitled to any state support.
The Government is frightening these same people with property tax, water tax, higher-level income tax, paying more for health insurance and an expected hike in student college fees etc.
Since I started college I have observed a number of fellow students who are on grant aid having far more disposable income than I have ever had. My parents are struggling to pay for my week-to-week needs, while these grant-aid students are able to buy clothes and socialise when their grant payments come through.
