Songbird voice, lavatorial mouth

Sir -- It's a sad 'face-of-a-stairs' if what Sinead O'Connor says about her love-life is true (Sunday Independent, August 21, 2011). She issued some awful mouthful of lavatorial stuff from her gob and pen. She is such a lovely woman with the voice of a songbird. I know she is out to shock, but will her kids be embarrassed? Maybe I'm an old cod but I hate vulgarity. The world got so different. Perhaps words and descriptions have new meanings that an auld one can't come to grips with. So, like solicitors and surgeons, Sinead is advertising now.
