Solving mystery of 'lost' billions

Published 13/11/2011 | 05:00

Sir -- When Michael Noonan said that he was not interested in who lost/misplaced the €3.6bn it surprised me because I am. When this guy Cardiff comes before a committee about the said €3.6bn and waffles, after presiding over a department that was at the heart of all the screw-ups that destroyed our country, one word comes to mind. Arrogance (well, actually a few more come to mind but children read this paper). Why, oh, why do we saddle ourselves with these mediocrities and when are politicians and their minions ever going to learn?
