Sloppily dressed TDs disrespect the Dail

Published 16/07/2011 | 05:00

IF I arrived into the office on a Monday morning dressed as though I worked on a building site, I would be fired on the spot. Is it really too much to expect that our elected national leaders abide by a similar standard?

Luke 'Ming' Flanagan had no problem dressing formally when he met the Queen of England. It's a shame that he doesn't see fit to have the same respect for our sovereign, elected, national parliament.
