Slippery slope to wind farms

Sir -- Ian Lumley of An Taisce objects to an artificial ski slope next to Dundalk racecourse because it would impede the view of the nearby Cooley mountains. Yet the same organisation permits huge, unsightly wind farms to visually pollute mountains around the country.
Here on the Roscommon/ Leitrim border, the noisy white eyesores on the Arigna mountains are a classic example of these double standards which Mr Lumley and his band of suburban bean-eaters and alpine skiers ignore!
