Sarkozy has point about company tax

Ireland's low corporation tax has been rightly criticised by the EU, which is relatively half of what the rest of Europe pays.
It would not hurt investment if the level was increased marginally to 20pc thereabouts. There is far too much so-called sensitivity and rapacious interests getting in the way of common sense and a more equitable taxation system.
This means that most national income comes from ordinary workers, not corporations who are on the sweetest deal anywhere in Europe if they decide to come to Ireland.
