Sanity and sex

• I hear and read regular indications that the sexual lives of our young people are seen as a drift into hedonistic godlessness, or as the release of a great head of steam that has built up over generations through the availability of contraception.

Some of the older generation are secretly saddened and slightly envious that they missed out on the so-called sexual revolution, while young people wonder what the fuss is about.

As I grew up, dating one's girlfriend was seen as an occasion of sin -- and not an occasion of grace and love.
