Roads argument is off the rails

IN RESPONSE to Michael Job (Letters, August 9), I stand over my assertion that south Tipperary does not have adequate roads (Letters, August 6).

I would also like to disagree with a number of his points.

1. Public transport is funded by fares until it comes to a point where it is making a loss. Who pays for it then? The taxpayer.
