Religion and law must be separate

Sir -- To Carol Hunt's article, I want to add that my inherited faith and western culture is being attacked by those who wear in public specific clothing which denominates them, such as Muslims, sheiks etc.

Excluding clerics, in modern Ireland no (religious) group should impose their religious dress code on the citizens of this State.

In walking the streets of Ireland, I don't want to see people in dress that imposes on my mind conflicting thoughts. Muslims proclaim that religion and law must exist together. That in itself is an attack on democracy, which we in Ireland hold dear.
