Redress for years of cruelty

I WOULD like to remind James Kennedy of the conditions that those of us who were orphans suffered, having left the industrial schools and then sent to work at 16, mainly on farms.
Many worked not too far from Ardfert, where Mr Kennedy lives, and we were subject to the most appalling living conditions.
We were both physically and mentally abused, suffered from the cold in dark and damp living areas and were badly affected by loneliness, having left our former friends in the school.
