•In punishing workers for their own ineptitude, both Fianna Fail and 'Fianna Fail lite' forced lower wages on many of them. This was then followed by the indignity of social welfare.
As another version of Fianna Fail, Fine Gael attacks people for allegedly "living it up" on the dole and for "turning down work". Even if work does become available, politicians are comfortably removed from the reality of employer exploitation, which has greatly increased.
Instead of fostering a work ethic amongst those who want to work, the Government has done everything in its power to crush it. A person who was paid €20 per hour for skilled work in 2010 should not now have to upskill for €9 per hour just to enhance "feel good" statistics for the Government.
