•It is time to stop the nonsense in the way we are allowing our Government to deal with the EU Commission and the ECB. Of course there is an obligation on the Government to do what we have to to continue to receive external support to fund the business of running the country and to keep cash spewing out of the machines in the wall.

But there it should end because there is simply no return out of this 'teacher's pet' approach for volunteering to constantly go the extra mile, to behave in exemplary fashion.

This stance of 'we will honour every penny of our debts' as a nation is a fool's utterance as some of the debts we are electing to pay off are not those of this country.
