President for all

• On a visit this summer to Glasnevin Cemetery, the guide reminded us that there are more people buried there than are living in Dublin today. I am reminded of that now, as the current presidential debates and media are paying only lip service to the millions of Irish abroad.
I hope this improves as the campaign goes on. Uachtaráin na hEireann is the highest office in Ireland and has a profound connection to the Irish diaspora.
The Constitution states that "the Irish nation cherishes its special affinity with people of Irish ancestry living abroad who share its cultural identity and heritage".
