Pope's dinner leaves bad taste

Ah, such sophistication. We learn through the media that the Pope and his cardinals dined in their chartered Alitalia Airbus on pate de foie gras and other culinary delicacies, on their flight home from the UK.

During the Pope's visit, he spoke several times about the need for compassion in today's society.

Is it too much to ask that he and his eminent cardinals consider showing compassion for the unfortunate geese who were force fed every day throughout their short lives in order to produce a grossly enlarged, or fatty, liver for them to dine on?
