Pools of money being wasted

I WOULD suggest to the local communities in Crumlin, Coolock and Sean MacDermott Street that they have a "ribbon tying" ceremony this summer when their swimming pools close ('Keeping the banks liquid leaves pools high and dry', Irish Independent, April 15).
They should invite the politicians, who in the past were only too willing to cut a ribbon anywhere in the country whilst basking in the glory of their achievements, to come to their swimming pools and tie a cut ribbon across the doors.
A ceremony like this might help them realise how the gross mismanagement of a country and the bailout of banks are really paid for.
