Playing the game

Sir -- Re the Prime Time report on the Tipperary Venue -- yes, this is an ambitious project, but it could be the driver we need to, once and for all, introduce proper gaming legislation. Has the Government any idea about the millions in revenue they are losing because of no regulation?
What was annoying about the Prime Time show is that they had people with no experience in international gaming -- not to mention having never even been close to the casino model under discussion -- giving their tuppence worth and suggesting how many visitors the venue required (incredible!). Prime Time should have invited an international casino consultant on to give a learned opinion.
That said, the Tipperary Venue could be the 'Seabiscuit' of this terrible depression we find ourselves in.
