People behind stupid deal must be liable

THE Government should treat the bankers as they treat the rest of us: the money is not there so you can't have it. For those who have been working in the banks for a long time, they knew that they had been in trouble for many years so why should the taxpayer, who has owned these institutions for only a short time, be responsible?

The people who made this stupid deal -- the previous Finance Minister, Taoiseach, Regulator, Governor of the Central Bank, civil servants, etc -- should all be held personally liable.
