Palestinians still forced to suffer

I am bewildered that Kevin Myers feels Israel should not be subject to scrutiny over their apartheid-like governance of the Palestinians.
Surely he's aware that Palestinians are burdened with crippling travel, work and security restrictions; that they cannot reclaim lost property or acquire Israeli citizenship, and yet watch as Jews with no prior ties to the country become citizens and receive government-subsidised housing.
In the West Bank, Arabs live in squalid, ringed ghettos and are governed by military courts, while Jewish settlers there, and in East Jerusalem, are subject to civilian law, and enjoy constitutional protection while carrying government-issued automatic weapons and being protected by the Israeli army.
