On your bike, Seanie

Sir -- I was watching a marvellous programme on RTE during the week. It was about the great piper Seamus Ennis. In the Forties Seamus was contracted by the Folklore Commission to cycle around Ireland and collect songs and stories. Indeed, the programme asserted that had he not done this we may have lost out on some of our folk song treasure.
The programme inspired me. I am continuously conscious of how Sean Fitzpatrick is demonised. So I came up with an idea. Why doesn't Seanie head off on a bike, from town to town, and door to door and explain his side of the story?
At least we would all get to hear what motivated him and if we met him in person we may look at him more favourably.
