O'Doherty is off target on bombs

I will gladly suffer Ian O'Doherty's column when he is railing against puffed-up celebrities, complaining about badly behaved children, or showing off his record collection.

But then there are other times when I would happily see him bowdlerised.

I don't know exactly who it is he imagines comprises this "lunatic fringe" that objects to civilians being murdered in their name (Irish Independent, September 9), but you can mostly blame Churchill for the "calumny" against Bomber Command.
