Obama spoke at length but said very little

Any speechwriter or master of communications will tell you that it's not what you say but how you say it.
Contrastingly, we had to endure the speech of Enda Kenny sounding like an MC in a boxing ring yelling his introduction of the president as if he were about to undergo the latest defence of his title and Barack Obama who, like all great orators, is able to speak at length without saying anything at all.
He deployed the three-card trick all great statesmen play: a bit of history, a bit of humour and a brighter tomorrow.
