DAVID McWilliams (Irish Independent, January 12) shouldn't be puzzled that Austrian streets are bustling with pensioners (I'm one) – it's because they are safe and clean, all day, every day.
If he didn't see any young people it's because they were all skiing or perfecting their English in Dublin. Oh, and I can't wait to try his recipe for ‘Apfelscrudel’.
