• Now that the HSE has bled the country dry of Irish nurses, will they now do a recruitment drive in the Philippines and India to recruit nurses from there to replace the Irish graduates who will not work for €22,000 after four years of training?
Good luck to the elite of this country who still think they rule the roost; God help you if you get sick as you have been treating Irish nurses disgracefully.

* I was thrilled to discover that the Department of Jobs For The Boys has being carrying out its remit in an exemplary manner.

I find it uplifting, not to say encouraging, when a journalist hits the nail on the head, particularly when the target is one of our careerist elitist politicians. Another of your journalists, Gene Kerrigan, writes with laser-like accuracy in this regard. None fits the target bill better than the subject of your piece last week, Mr Bruton.
