Not the place for sad ramblings

Sir -- I refer to the article by John McEntee (Sunday Independent, May 29, 2011), "Men are simply not designed to be completely faithful to one lover for life".
While there is room for debate on whether men -- or indeed women -- can or should be monogamous, John McEntee is not the man to lead that debate. Firstly, the tone of his article is patronising and derogatory, and his views are outdated. He believes that women are dear little sexless creatures who are content to stay home and have children.
He then boasts lasciviously about his (few) sexual conquests like a pathetic, oversexed teenage boy. The finishing touch is calling a woman who slept with him "an old slapper".
