Norris's ghost set to haunt the Aras

THE Norris situation has shown the Irish voter that Ireland is not the master of its own destiny.
In the past we were under the "influence" of the Vatican state, the US, and the UK -- now we seem to be in the gunsights of more shadowy forces who are toying with the country's ability to think or vote for itself.
The first reform to end this situation should be how presidential candidates are chosen, as recent presidential contests have produced more controversy than Dail elections.
