'No' to flat water rates
Sir -- So they are going to introduce water charges, a grand idea, water is precious and should be conserved. However, a flat charge is out of the question and will not be tolerated.
In our place, there's no watering the garden or washing the car, taps are turned off whilst brushing teeth, we even operate an "if it's yellow, let it mellow" policy in the W/C.
But if we are to be charged the same as yer man down the road who power washes his cobblelock every other weekend, all that goes out the window.
