•I placed my savings with an Irish company called Hibernian Life and Pensions. Through no choice of mine, it became an English company called Aviva.

I also invested in a 10-year ticket in Lansdowne Road. Also, through no choice of mine, the stadium's name changed to 'The Aviva Stadium': named after the same English company.

Perhaps, given the lack of commitment to Ireland demonstrated by Aviva over the past few days and in respect for the 950 Irish staff who are about to lose their jobs because of that lack of commitment, I should move my savings to a real Irish investment company. And perhaps, for the same reasons, the Irish media, and all of us, should revert to calling our national rugby stadium 'Lansdowne Road' once again.
