New tax laws for firms would help

Rather than sitting around lamenting life before the death of the tiger, the Government should be focused on collecting as much corporation tax as possible by focusing on anti-avoidance legislation. With all the companies flocking to Ireland, at least collect some tax from them. It is the only way we have of getting money out of Europe and the US before the 12.5pc rate is taken away from us.
These companies would be good for €10bn per annum if the anti-avoidance legislation was implemented -- Google alone should be worth a billion or two. Let's get some good legal draughtspersons on the case now.
