New property tax is the final straw

I drew a line in the sand of my life today. Born in 1952 and rode to death by governments that are rated between corrupt and inept, I have had enough.
I will not be paying a tax on my house. I paid a five-figure sum in stamp duty in 2006 for my home; I currently pay a mortgage to live in that house.
In the early 1980s, I paid a combined tax of over 65pc -- 2pc of that tax was to bail out AIB's disastrous flirtation in London and PMPA, a supposedly healthy and profit-making Irish insurance company.
