Nailed to the economic cross

Sir -- I'd much rather hear the plight of the Irish discussed on the floor of the Dail, rather than have to listen to wafflers like Pat Rabbitte telling us on Prime Time how "happy is the 'troika' with our efforts". The nation is ignored while politicians sing the praises of their economic crucifixion of the natives.
Let those deputies we have voted into power in the hope of change find the courage to come to the defence of the people they purport to represent -- not parrot the diktat of Berlin, Paris, etc -- and acknowledge the economic horror which has befallen the Irish as their tax money bails out the banks, the developers and political cronies.
