Motorists being forced into taking toll roads

As a taxpayer and a professional driver, I would like to express my annoyance. I've been driving from Dublin to Cork for more than 20 years and am vehemently anti-toll.
For those who want to avoid the tolled motorways (M7 and M8), the signposts for the alternative route to Cork (via Abbeyleix and Mitchelstown, etc) are, from what I can see, non-existent. As a result, I believe unknowing motorists are forced into taking what is perceived to be the only route.
