Morally bankrupt

•What is the difference between Ireland and Iceland?

One is a democratic republic where the laws apply equally to everyone, and whose prime minister is now on trial for neglect of duty; while the other is an island in the North Atlantic, financially and morally bankrupt and which has just sent a 65-year-old woman to prison for trying to protect her own trees.
