Middle-class life is castle in the air

I CAN hardly believe it myself now, but I once considered myself to be "middle class".
Well, after watching Thursday's 'Prime Time' I realise my place on the social ladder is a lot closer to the bottom -- if we use wealth as an indicator. The 'Prime Time' introduction told us we were going to see how middle Ireland (of which I was once a self-proclaimed member) was hit by the financial crisis.
The first victims were those who had planned to rely on the dividends from their AIB shares to fund their pensions or nursing home accommodation.
