• As a member of a generation who often stood under Clerys clock waiting for a "date" to arrive, I'm deeply upset that this iconic Dublin symbol has been replicated in Belgian chocolate! (Irish Independent, December 3).
Don't we have an Irish chocolate maker who could have supplied the chocolate?
At a time when we should be supporting Irish jobs, Clerys, an Irish institution, should have considered using Irish chocolate for the replica.
By the way, I did meet the love of my life. . . but not under the clock.
