Maybe reader can help pay my loan

I'm wondering if James Gleeson (Letters, Irish Independent, March 21) would write in and let me know why I should consider myself lucky that I'm going to pay for the rest of my life (unless I leave Ireland) for the gambling debts of banks.

If he considers 5.8pc as a "not unreasonable" amount of interest, then perhaps he will be delighted to learn that I will let him to pay off my car loan, which has an exceptionally reasonable rate of less than 4pc.
