Niall Ginty and other letter writers keep stating that the leaders of the 1916 Rising had no mandate for their actions.
Can any of these people name one country where those who fought against British occupation of their country got an electoral mandate?
Secondly, can they give me the dates of the elections when the British got mandates from the indigenous people of all the countries within their empire to take over their land and country? Say, for example, the date the Aborigines of Australia gave the British a mandate to destroy their culture and way of life?
