Making a stand against the Catholic Church

FOR 44 years I have listened to and lived by the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, just as my parents have for nearly 80 years.
Having heard the excuses, lies and cover-ups from the church leaders, and the fact that there is no accountability by the people who made it possible for generations of vulnerable Irish children to be systematically raped and abused, makes me ashamed to be associated with such a heartless and devious church.
The silence from the church, its inability to face the truth and accept responsibility for the actions of its priests, shows it lacks a basic humanity and is leaving victims without justice.
