Looks like gold will be world's new currency

Talk about a sign of the times. For the last week I have been abroad. Being English speaking, the only real channel I could watch was Sky News.

When looking at the currency exchanges, gold is listed at the bottom. And guess what? While other major currencies -- euro, sterling and the dollar -- are all devaluing, gold is going up.

Is the world really in such trouble that it will need gold as a stable currency? Maybe one step on the road to a barter system? I hope not but that's how it looks.
