Live life

•As I watched Rte's 'Would You Believe?' about Emer Maher's video diary of her time with family and friends and coping with ovarian cancer, I was in floods of tears.

Not just for Emer and the loss of a wonderful mother and wife, but for the most stupid things I've been worrying about for these last years during the recession. Feck the mortgage, bills and the rest.

I will wake my two-year-old tonight as I go to bed, simply because I can hold her and smell her newly washed hair and hug her a bit more tightly. Life is what we've been letting pass us by. We need to start living again, before it's too late.
