Lessons for life in spirit of rugby

ROBERT Sullivan's response to my letter on the character or our rugby players ('Ex-rugby players will do just fine', (Letters, March 2) misses my point.
Rugby may be just a game to many, but as Ronan O'Gara quite rightly pointed out in this newspaper (Letters, February 19), it is his job, his career and one he takes very seriously.
This career promotes certain aspects of character that I believe are lacking in our society today, aspects of character that are needed for people to live in a mature way and overcome the trials of life.
