Legal immigrants face humiliation

I read with a great interest your editorial headed, 'A display of utter contempt', Irish Independent, March 20) which included the following: "However, most of the anger and disappointment, as expressed to reporters at the scene and in calls and texts to radio shows, was down to feelings of humiliation and hurt."
This is what legal immigrants feel when they apply for Irish citizenship.
We have to deal with response times that are not honoured, no information on the status of applications, and arrogant comments from officials.
