Law on begging must hit bankers

I am delighted to see that the Government has introduced new legislation to address the scourge of begging in this country.
Every day we see bankers and builders loitering around the Department of Finance and the National Treasury Management Agency, cap in hand, annoying passers-by.
They demand cash, implying that if we do not offer them charity the whole economic structure of the country will be in danger. Demanding money with menaces in this fashion will now no doubt draw the full severity of the law to bear on them.
