Kudos to Donnelly for changing mind on capable Fianna Fáil

Stephen Donnelly has indeed made the right decision in joining the Fianna Fáil party.

The big difference between his decision, and that of George Lee to join Fine Gael, is that FG, or rather Enda Kenny, desired a prop with a nationally recognised name, not an earnest, capable Young Turk.

Mr Donnelly has served his time in the Dáil, and he observed, as well as participated, in the political horse trading. That he sees an opportunity in Fianna Fáil to further his career, also recognises the astuteness of Micheál Martin's leadership.
