THANKS to Kevin Myers for his article on Japan (Irish Independent March 17). I am an Irish pilot working for a Japanese airline. We are trying to keep our operation going and the hysterical foreign media are not helping us at all.



This country is in a dreadful emergency and the people are coping admirably. I respect them greatly and feel morally obliged to stay here and help all I can, as do the vast majority of my multinational colleagues.
