Just say no

•Our private motoring business in the form of penalty points, which up to now has been between us and the gardai, is to be handed over to the insurance companies -- who may have found yet another way to hit the motorist.

Quite apart from a possible constitutional breach to the privacy of a citizen's right to have police dealings safeguarded from corporate interests; there can be absolutely no reason why insurance premiums should be hiked as a result.

Are we ever going to wake up in this sorry country and say a loud 'No' to something . . . anything?
