Just one kick between teams

An article in Monday's Irish Independent (August 1) poses the question "are Kildare good enough to go the distance?"
Well, Donegal are still there and are just one game away from an All-Ireland final. Are they good enough? Because if they are, then Kildare certainly are good enough. Players on the field can only give 100pc while playing within the rules of the game.
If a forward scores a legitimate goal, which a match official decides to disallow, it does not mean the team is not good enough to get the points needed to win the game. It just means the scoreboard did not record the score and the team must work even harder to regain the advantage, and in games with very evenly matched sides, that may be a task too far.
