Jury still out on Enda credentials

IT’S clear from his interview on ‘The Late Late Show’ on Friday night that Enda Kenny is a nice, likeable, personable man.
What is less clear, however, is whether he is up to the job of being Taoiseach. Despite boasting about being a “straight-talking guy”, he gave very few straight answers. He refused to discuss his reasons for ruling out Sinn Fein as a coalition partner. He failed to explain why he didn’t inform his colleagues about his proposals for the abolition of the Seanad.
Most importantly, he was unable to give any compelling reason as to why he deserves to lead the country. Unfortunately for Mr Kenny, he still has some way to go before he convinces many of us that he is made of Taoiseach material.
